In my role as HR consultant and project manager, I come into contact with new trends on a daily basis that I need to pay attention to, evaluate and keep an eye on partly in my customer relations but also through monitoring the world around me.
In this post, I would like to share my personal insights that I think you who work in HR should be aware of in 2023!
Flexible HR provides flexibility
- HR work can be made smarter and more efficient with modern tools and automation, and by HR focusing on the metrics that are actually important to the business. In order for businesses to become agile, a more coaching and inclusive leadership is required.
Faster digitization
- It is time to adopt comprehensive solutions in the form of integrated digital systems instead of several different HR tools that do not talk to each other. Deeper and smarter integration is of the utmost importance, and has the potential for long-term cost savings.
- The technological development in the field of HR is fast and modern platforms today provide completely different experiences and opportunities than what we are traditionally used to. In addition to weaving together career development and learning, the platform, thanks to its open architecture, can integrate with external solutions, tools and applications.
Sustainable investments
Examples of sustainable investments can be:
- To outsource the payroll administration, so HR can focus on the core business to a greater degree.
- Increased effort on creative solutions for employee compensation, e.g. greater flexibility for how the salary is designed.
Personnel development
- Employers need to make more effort than ever to become an attractive workplace and attract their staff as there are more choices on the labor market.
- Freedom of choice, letting people choose where, when and how they will work and what motivates them best. The hybrid workplace is here to stay.
- In order to meet employee expectations, HR personnel need to analyze data, to gain insights into what competence and skills are available and how employees are feeling.
- Employees expect employers to listen to what they have to say.
