At the Executive Forum HR & Leadership which took place on 12 May 2015 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Stockholm, leading decision makers in HR from all over Sweden gathered. The day offered inspiring, interesting lectures and discussion groups in the HR area, and the participants had the opportunity to meet current solution providers on the market.
Why feedback is so important was a recurring question during the day and Quicksearch was of course present and had the opportunity to meet many exciting participants from different companies to discuss needs and trends in feedback management. We shared our experience and our offer to continuously measure and follow up employees and customers through feedback to create loyalty and profitability.
Some of the challenges that we reflected on during the day are that the employee survey is usually very extensive and time-consuming and that it takes time before the results are available. A consequence in today's fast-changing world is that a lot has time to happen before the organization can practically start working with the result. Another observation was that many international companies are centralized and the employee survey is managed at group level from another country. It can be experienced as alien and far away for the employees in Sweden, and furthermore, the Swedish HR department is held back in the work of developing its employees.
A complement to the employee survey is to continuously measure separate HR areas and activities in real time, which becomes a way to keep the improvement work alive and to be able to revise the action plan based on new conditions. Through ongoing feedback surveys when the feeling is fresh, the organization can act more quickly on the results and implement relevant measures in time. In this way, you know that you are getting the best possible ROI on your HR activities and investments such as recruitment, introduction of new employees, appraisal work and employee interviews.
Event-driven measuring at the local level is therefore a good way for the leaders in Sweden to have a faster and more effective dialogue with their employees and thus be able to create a culture where employees want, can and have the right conditions to contribute to the company's success.
Having satisfied employees is good, but unfortunately it is not enough for companies that want to be competitive, in order to achieve success, a company needs employees who are committed and high performers. But commitment is not enough in itself, a committed employee also needs to be loyal to his employer in order not to take his commitment and go to the competitor.
We at Quicksearch believe in shorter, faster surveys that we have chosen to call dialogue and we notice that it is increasingly in demand in the market.
