GDPR replaces PUL - What adaptations do you need to make?
In May 2018, the EU's new data protection regulation (GDPR) comes into force, which has major consequences for how personal data may be processed. The GDPR will replace the Personal Data Act (PUL) from 1998 and aims to adapt the legislation more to digital developments. The law applies to companies that collect, process or store personal data. In other words, all those who carry out any type of investigation towards employees or customers.
What does this change actually mean in practical terms for you and your company? What should you think about and is there any way you can prepare?
We answer these questions and many more in this webinar together with the expert and lawyer Manólis Nymark. Manólis is certified in information security (CISSP) and has extensive experience in integration legislation. He has, among other things, been responsible for personal data issues both at the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish Medical Examiner's Office and within the RIF work (the judicial system's development work for a common information structure).
Together with Quicksearch's senior consultant Jörgen Gotthardsson, Manólis guides us through GDPR and mainly its impact on the research industry.
